SeniorPocket Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how METATENSOR PTY LTD ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use SeniorPocket (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to this policy.

SeniorPocket is designed to be a private, on-device personal organiser for important documents, contacts, reminders, notes, and emergency information. We do not operate any servers that store your personal data, and we do not collect, sell, or share the information you enter into the App.

✨ Summary

• All content you create in the App (notes, reminders, contacts, vault items, emergency card, scanned documents, photos) is stored locally on your device.
• If you choose to enable iCloud Backup inside the App, an encrypted copy of your data is stored in your own private iCloud account. We have no access to it. This feature is off by default and entirely under your control.
• We do not use analytics, tracking, advertising SDKs, or third-party data brokers inside the App.
• We do not have accounts, sign-in, or user profiles on our servers. There is nothing for us to "delete from our database" because we do not have one.

📱 Information Processed by the App

The following is processed only on your device and is not transmitted to us:

• Your content. Notes, reminders, contacts, vault items, emergency card details (which may include health information you choose to record such as allergies, medications, blood type, doctor/pharmacy details, insurance details), scanned documents, attached photos, and profile information.
• Scanned documents. When you use the document scanner, images are captured by Apple's VisionKit and processed on-device using Apple's Vision, Natural Language, and Core ML frameworks to detect text and suggest a category. Scans are not uploaded anywhere by us.
• Biometric authentication. If you enable App Lock, Face ID / Touch ID / Optic ID is handled by iOS through Apple's Secure Enclave. We never see or store your biometric data; the App only receives a yes/no result from iOS.
• Notifications. Reminder notifications are scheduled locally by iOS. We do not send push notifications from a server.

🔐 Device Permissions

The App requests the following iOS permissions only when needed and only for the stated purpose:

• Camera — to scan documents and capture photos for vault items or contacts.
• Photo Library — to import existing photos as attachments.
• Face ID / Touch ID — to unlock the App if you enable App Lock.
• Notifications — to deliver reminders you have set.

You can revoke any of these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

☁️ iCloud Backup (Optional)

If you turn on iCloud Backup inside the App, the App writes a snapshot of your data to your own iCloud private database using Apple's iCloud / CloudKit service.

• The data resides in your iCloud account, governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy.
• We cannot access or read your backups. Apple does not share private database contents with the developer.
• You can delete the backup at any time from within the App or by signing out of iCloud.

💳 In-App Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple via StoreKit. We do not see your payment details. Apple shares with us only the receipt necessary to verify entitlement on your device. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

📢 Advertising and Attribution

The App does not display advertising and does not include any third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

The App participates in SKAdNetwork, Apple's privacy-preserving attribution framework. SKAdNetwork is operated by iOS, not by us: it allows Apple to send an anonymous, aggregated install notification to an ad network when a user installs the App after tapping a related ad. SKAdNetwork does not transmit your personal data, your device identifier, or any content from the App.

If we ever introduce in-app advertising, this policy will be updated in advance and any required consent will be requested in-App.

🚫 What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell, rent, or share your data.
• We do not use third-party analytics or tracking.
• We do not link any identifier to you across apps or websites.
• We do not perform "App Tracking" as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, and therefore do not request the ATT prompt.

👶 Children

The App is intended for adults, in particular older adults and the family members or carers who help them. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly process information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has used the App and you wish to remove their data, simply delete the App from the device or sign out of iCloud to remove the iCloud backup.

🩺 Health and Emergency Information

The emergency card and certain notes/vault items may contain health information that you choose to enter (such as medications, allergies, or conditions). This information is stored only on your device and (if you enable backup) in your private iCloud account.

The App is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services. In an emergency, dial your local emergency number.

🔒 Security

Your data is protected by the security of your device: iOS device encryption, your device passcode, and (if enabled) Face ID / Touch ID app lock. iCloud backups are protected by your Apple ID security settings (we recommend enabling two-factor authentication on your Apple ID). No system is perfectly secure; please keep your device and Apple ID credentials safe.

✅ Your Rights

Because we do not collect or hold your personal data on our servers, there is no account-level data for us to access, correct, port, or delete on your behalf. You remain in full control:

• To access or export your data, use the export features inside the App.
• To delete your data, delete items inside the App, sign out of iCloud, or uninstall the App.
• Depending on where you live (e.g. EEA/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA/CPRA, Australia under the Privacy Act), you may have additional statutory rights. You can exercise them by contacting us at the email below; we will respond within a reasonable time, although in most cases the answer will be that we do not hold any data about you.

📝 Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version. Material changes will be notified in-App.
