Mani Privacy Policy

METATENSOR PTY LTD ("Metatensor", "we", "us") makes wellbeing apps, including Mani and GENS – Generation Simulator. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it across our apps, websites, and services (the "Services"). GENS currently runs offline and stores no personal data with us.

📊 What We Collect

• Account data. An account identifier; your email and name if you sign in with Apple or Google; timezone, language, and notification preferences. Guest accounts get an internal identifier only.
• Content you create. Your entries, goals, progress, journal notes, saved items, messages with the in-app AI guide, and text you choose to share with an invited partner or into the anonymous community space. Photos you attach stay within the app.
• Purchase data. Entitlement status, product identifiers, and receipt data from Apple needed to unlock what you bought. We never see your payment card.
• Usage and device data. Device model, OS version, app version, locale; app events such as installs, sessions, feature use, purchases, and crashes.
• Advertising and attribution data (with your permission). If you allow tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, our advertising and attribution partners may receive your device's advertising identifier. If you decline, the app works the same and attribution is aggregate only.

🔧 How We Use It

To provide and sync the Services; to generate AI responses and personalized audio (your relevant content is sent to our AI providers for processing only); to process purchases; to send reminders you asked for; to measure and improve the app, including which campaigns brought new users; to show advertising to free-tier users; to keep the Services safe and to meet legal obligations.

🤝 Who We Share It With

We do not sell personal data. We share only with service providers under contract, and only what each needs:

• Cloud database and authentication (data may be processed in the United States).
• AI processing: DeepSeek and Google process conversation and generation requests as processors. We do not permit your content to be used to train their public models.
• Advertising: Google AdMob and, where mediated, Unity Ads serve ads to free-tier users under their own policies.
• Analytics and attribution: Google Firebase and AppsFlyer (including integrations with ad partners such as TikTok for campaign measurement).
• Apple and Google for sign-in, purchases, and notifications.
• Legal recipients where disclosure is required, and successors in a corporate transaction under this policy.

Content you share with an invited partner is visible to them; content you release into the community space is shown without your name and is moderated. Nobody else sees your private content.

🌍 International Transfers

Providers may process data outside your country, including the United States. We rely on recognized safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

📅 Retention and Deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion in the app; the account is queued and deletion becomes permanent after a 30-day window during which you can cancel. Limited transaction records may be kept where the law requires. You can also email us to request a copy of your data or earlier deletion.

✅ Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, or object.

• Controls in the app: edit your profile, manage notifications, request deletion.
• Device controls: notifications and tracking permission in iOS Settings.
• Tracking opt-out: decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt or turn it off in Settings > Privacy.

👶 Children

The Services are for ages 13 and up. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or under 16 where the EEA requires). Contact us if you believe a child has provided data and we will delete it.

🔒 Security

Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, database access is role-restricted, and logging is limited to operational needs. No system is perfectly secure; use a strong device passcode.
